Social And Emotional Well-being Of Kids Is Very Important

There are many children’s learning games available today. The aim is to improve hand-eye coordination and motor activities of kids. However, the aim of Wonder Kids Cards is more foundational and long lasting than most of the early childhood educational games being sold today. We offer a learning tool for parents and kids that is based on fun cards with questions and affirmations. We have also developed an electronic guide book containing lots of different activities. The materials used for organizing these activities can be easily found in any household. These activities are designed to teach kids the importance of forgiveness, gratitude, relationships, and love in their lives. Our cards and activities are inspiring and thought-provoking.

Learning through activities is quick and retained longer

It has been proven by scientists that the human brain is able to retain only 10% of what is learned from books. On the other hand, the same brain retains nearly 90% of what is learned through fun activities. This concept forms the basis of our card games. They are thought-provoking and inspire children to become loving and caring individuals. Kids learn quickly and retain important lessons when they are taught through interesting and fun-filled activities. They will help your children develop confidence and learn how to communicate in a better and more meaningful manner with other people in their lives. Most importantly, our card game is very effective in developing strong character for your kids.  As an added benefit you gain a unique closeness and understanding with your child while playing a game!

Our game is a set of 38 flashcards with a question on one side and affirmations on the other side. To help kids learn in a fun way, we also provide an electronic guide book containing interesting activities that promote communication and cooperation among kids.  The electronic guide book isn’t needed though. Just open the pack, mix and ask a question. Flip the card over and discuss the answers. They will start out topical and as the game moves on and goes deeper, you will see the child dig deeper and with our help will discover their own nature, their own power, they own passions and values!

Research done in different parts of the world proves that happy people are also more successful people. You can let them learn human emotional expectations from the outside world or guide them early and lovingly along the way.  If you choose to do nothing, this could lead to difficulty later in life developing meaningful relations with others. You need to teach them lessons in important the virtues of forgiveness, gratitude, and empathy for their own social and emotional well-being and safety. Without these qualities, it is difficult to cultivate deep friendships that contribute to the happiness of your young ones.

You can help your children in building confidence and developing a strong character by using our cards. Teach Kids How To Develop Strong Friendships

Making friends and developing long-lasting friendships is a social skill that is not taught by teachers in schools nearly enough.  They simply don’t have the time with so many students relying on them. Qualities like forgiveness and kindness are of an interpersonal nature. They play a crucial role in developing friendships with other kids. You cannot expect the school to be focusing on the social well-being of kids as it is busy focusing on teaching for tests. The ability to make close friends plays an important role in deciding the happiness of your young children. Some kids are shy and do not know how to communicate with others in a meaningful manner. If you feel your children do not have a close circle of several friends, you can work on this aspect of their social-well being by using our flash cards. Our learning tool is a fun communication game for children that encourages them to build special relationships with like-minded kids.

Building The Confidence Levels Of Your Kids

Self confidence is an asset that helps people tackle challenging situations in life. Confidence in one’s own abilities increases chances of success in all endeavours in life. If you see that your kid remains a little bit nervous and shy and not participating in extracurricular activities, it may show a lack of confidence in his/her own abilities. It is not easy to develop confidence in your kids as it requires giving them encouragement and complimenting them for even the smallest of their achievements in a consistent manner which some say is not good for their life expectations. However, it becomes easy for parents to see their kids brimming with confidence once they use our flashcards.  Many of these activities are full of confidence-building games for children that have been proven to help in improving the confidence of young kids.

Easy-to-use Cards That Build Confidence And Character

As mentioned earlier, our tool kit for confidence and character building in young children consist of a set of 38 fun flashcards. These double-sided cards have a question on one side with affirmations on the reverse side. These cards come with an downloadable activity book containing activities that are simple but very inspiring and thought-provoking.

How to play this card game with your children

Shuffle the pack of cards and pick out one card. There is a question printed on one side of the card. Read it aloud and encourage your children to come up with possible answers. You then look on the reverse side to discuss these answer suggestion with your kids. Discussing the answers provided will elicit more ideas from your kids to start a discussion about the topic.  Once the child is comfortable, you will be surprised at how easily they can open up and you learn new things about your child while they learn!

Questions on the cards range from simple to not-quite-difficult. They cover a vast range of topics such as self-awareness, happiness, gratitude, forgiveness, and more. The important thing to know is that there really is no wrong way to use them. The goal of these cards is to get your children communicating. This isn’t a “game” in the traditional sense. There is no winning or losing. But it is a fun way to get to know each other better. Your children will learn to be more mindful of what’s going on around them, to care about others and to appreciate their surroundings, all while “playing a game”.

The thing to remember here is that kids are curious by nature and they love to imagine something that is awe-inspiring for them. They like to connect themselves with people and things that are important to them. As parents, you have the opportunity to nurture this inquisitiveness and core spirituality in your children. With frank discussions and by indulging in simple but interesting activities, you can play the role of mentor and guide for your loved ones.

The discussion on affirmations and participating in activities with your children opens myriad possibilities of communication with your children. It also helps in changing and improving their behaviors in real-life situations. While the cards are not religious in nature, the basic moral principles described in the cards are drawn from major religions of the world such as Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Gnostics, Buddhism, Judaism, etc. These are time-tested and proven morals and beliefs that are used to develop virtues of forgiveness, kindness, gratitude, honesty, respect, and cooperation in small kids. Play-based learning in early childhood goes a long way in cementing these morals and beliefs in the minds of your children.

If you are discussing affirmations on a moral value and participating in a relevant activity, you will find that your kids agree with you. The next step for you is to integrate this virtue or moral in your daily life routine. You will find that benefits of such a practice have far-reaching effects on the behavior of your kids (and you!).

The main reason why we have so many activities for parents and kids to play together is because kids learn and retain a lot more than they do with classroom learning. We have made sure that you can organize the activity with materials easily available to you.

Little kids are very excited to play this card game with their parents. You can shuffle the pack and ask your child to draw any card. Read the question printed on one side of the card and encourage your child to come up with answers. Based upon his answers, you can ask many open-ended questions to seek clarity from your kid. Never try to correct your child as there can be many answers to the same question.

Use Your Words

“Use your words.” We’ve all heard this said. Many of us say it to our children every day. But what if they don’t know how to? Wonder Kids Cards can give them the tools they need to express themselves in an efficient and effective manner.

Express Your Feelings

Do you feel like you struggle to get your kids to talk about their feelings? Does it feel like you’re pulling teeth just to try to find out how your child’s day was? Wonder Kids Cards aren’t only for children. They’re also a learning tool for parents. By asking the questions that are written on the cards, you may find one particular question starts a conversation you never imagined you could have with your child. We saw this happen first-hand. A child who normally never speaks about her feelings, especially not to her older sister, was able to express something that was bothering her based on a question that came up in the deck. Her sister responded by saying she never knew that what she was doing was hurting her. By going through the cards slowly, without judgment about the answers, you can create a “safe space” that makes your child feel comfortable enough to share what they’re feeling. The best part is, this isn’t just for kids! If you participate with them, take a turn and answer the questions, your kids may learn to understand you a little better as well. There are no right or wrong answers, just a different way of looking at a situation.
